FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Medical

How does Rugiet Ready work?

Rugiet Ready contains a class of medications called PDE5 inhibitors, which work by dilating blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the penis, making it easier to get and maintain an erection. It also includes APO, (apomorphine) a dopamine promoter, which primes the brain for sexual arousal.

What is Rugiet Ready's mechanism of action?

  • An erection is a physiological response in which the penis becomes rigid and enlarged due to increased blood flow. This response is triggered by sexual stimulation, which induces the release of a vasodilator molecule called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide activates an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of GTP to cGMP, a molecule that leads to smooth muscle relaxation and blood vessel dilation, increasing blood flow into the penis and resulting in an erection.
  • Phosphodiesterases are the group of enzymes in the body responsible for breaking down cGMP. Two of the medications in Rugiet Ready, sildenafil and tadalafil, are phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Inhibiting PDE5 increases the amount of available cGMP, which in turn increases smooth muscle relaxation and blood vessel dilation, increasing overall blood flow into the penis and resulting in an erection.
  • Apomorphine, the third ingredient in Rugiet Ready, is a dopamine promoter that acts on dopamine receptors in the brain. It primes the parts of the brain associated with sexual arousal, strengthening the signal that links sexual stimulation and the erection cascade.

How long do the effects of Rugiet Ready last?

The effects of sildenafil generally last 4-5 hours, while the effects of tadalafil typically last for 24-36 hours. Using this medication with liver or kidney disease may increase the time that this medication remains in the body and we recommend consulting with your doctor prior to use. Concurrent use of certain medication may also prolong the effects or cause adverse effects. Please see the below question regarding medication interactions. Apomorphine generally lasts 3-4 hours.

What are the most common side effects?

  • Headache
  • Flushing
  • Rash
  • Cyanopsia (blue-tinted vision)
  • Mild blurred vision
  • Indigestion
  • Irritation of the skin within the mouth and under the tongue
  • Nasal Congestion

  • An erection lasting longer than four hours
  • Any sudden changes in hearing or vision
  • Allergic Reaction (swelling of the face and lips, wheezing, sensation of throat closing, difficulty breathing, rash)

  • Use caution when taking Rugiet Ready with strong CYP inhibitors (such as ritonavir, saquinavir, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin), as Rugiet Ready metabolism is decreased, and this may lead to a prolonged erection, a drop in blood pressure and/or syncope (fainting).
  • Rugiet Ready can interact with the following commonly prescribed medications. This is not an all-inclusive list. Be sure to include all medications that you take in the patient survey. If your medication list changes be sure to message your doctor.

If Viagra® and Cialis® didn’t work for me, will Rugiet Ready?

There are many people who successfully treated their E.D. with Rugiet Ready after trying single-ingredient treatments, like Viagra® and Cialis®, did not yield results. Rugiet Ready combines both sildenafil and tadalafil, which are short and long acting PDE5 inhibitors. It also includes a third ingredient, apomorphine. Because the medication dissolves under the tongue, it increases absorption directly into the bloodstream, making it work faster. Furthermore, our physicians can customize doses of each medication specifically to each patient’s need. We cannot promise it will work for everyone, but our doctors will work with you to try to deliver optimal results while minimizing side effects. Read more about your options here.

I take a low dose of tadalafil every day, can I take Rugiet Ready every day?

  • No, Rugiet Ready is not a daily medication. It should only be taken as needed per the instructions on your prescription. The maximum recommended dosing frequency of Rugiet Ready is one dose in every 24 hours.
  • For Rugiet Ready combinations that contain greater than 10mg of tadalafil, it should be noted that tadalafil can stay in the bloodstream for up to 36 hours, and this should be taken into consideration.

I have taken Viagra®/Cialis® before and I have experienced side effects. Will I experience the same side effects with Rugiet Ready?

  • Rugiet Ready contains the same active ingredients as both Viagra® and Cialis®, so you may experience similar side effects. However, our doctors will work with you to try to find the best treatment and dosage to help limit side effects while maintaining effectiveness. It's often reported that side effects are minimized and even eliminated thanks to the custom doses.
  • Be sure to explain to your doctor in the questionnaire if you had previous side effects or drug reactions using Viagra® or Cialis®. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to message your doctor. Read more about how Rugiet Ready is different here.

What strength should I choose?

Our product selection page will provide you with some general advice to help get you started. Your doctor will review your request in the context of your answers to the medical questionnaire and only approve it if they feel it is a safe and effective treatment option for you. We recommend starting with half a dose and increasing to a full dose if needed. You can message your Rugiet Ready doctor to increase your dose if the full dose is not producing desirable results. If our physicians require more information, they will contact you through the Member Portal or via the email you provided during sign up.

Packaging/Storage

My order came with ice packs, do I need to freeze it?

  • Your order may be shipped with ice packs to keep the medication at or below room temperature during transit. Once you receive the package, store it at room temperature or refrigerate/freeze it if the product appears partially melted. Melting and freezing do not alter the ingredients of the medication.

My Rugiet Ready arrived melted, what do I do?

  • Rugiet Ready comes in the form of a sublingual troche, a dose designed to melt under your tongue at body temperature. During summer months, ambient temperatures sometimes exceed 95°F, which can cause the medication to melt slightly during transit.
  • In warmer months, we take precautions against this by shipping the medication with ice packs and in a thermal sleeve - but still - in inclement weather, it is possible your medication may arrive melted.
  • If your Rugiet Ready arrived melted, do not open it. Place it in the refrigerator. The medicine is good to use once it has solidified in its blister package.
  • If this does not work or you have any questions, our concierge Customer Care team will be happy to assist you during our business hours: 8am-6pm CT Mon-Fri
